2007 begins Horizon’s 20th year as a provider of software to the aviation industry.  During that time we’ve grown from a tiny newcomer to become the world leader for aviation accounting and business management software.  We’re very grateful for the support and acceptance we’ve received from FBOs and aviation service providers of all sizes through the years. 

We understand that it’s our responsibility to maintain an awareness of industry needs and changes, and so we’ve developed a high degree of responsiveness, not only to customer requests, but to industry trends, regulatory requirements, and progress within the IT marketplace. 

To remain profitable in the current fast-paced climate, operators must function as efficiently as possible, taking advantage of economies of scale wherever possible.  Horizon believes this has resulted in an industry-wide need for a more efficient and consistent method of arranging for concierge and ground services. 

To meet this need, we’ve developed the FlashTurn® Online Concierge Service System.  Simply put, it’s an online meeting place for both sellers and buyers of aircraft services.  By taking advantage of the technological advancements available through the World Wide Web, FlashTurn® can make locating and arranging for services much more efficient for both the FBO/provider and the Aircraft/Charter Operator. 

There have already been some attempts to use the web in this manner, but we believe Horizon, with its strong leadership position and large customer base, is uniquely positioned to launch and support such a service, which will depend on broad availability and wide acceptance.

We have pledged our resources to making this resource available to the industry, with sizable budgets committed for advertising, program development, high-demand server availability, training, and support. 

In addition to the already available functionality of the public website at www.flashturn.com, we are also providing interfaces which will allow data to flow seamlessly between the FlashTurn®system and other popular or custom software systems in use by aircraft operators, as well as TotalFBO®.  These interfaces mean that the aircraft operator will also be able to retrieve expense information for flights immediately after departure from each stop.
